The Nunavut Roundtable for Poverty Reduction’s Makimaniq Plan III is currently under development and will include renewed food security action steps. This commitment was maintained in Makimaniq Plan 2.
The Nunavut Food Security Coalition has identified six themes that are important for improving food security in our territory. They are Country Food, Store-Bought Food, Local Food Production, Life Skills, Programs and Community Initiative, as well as Policy and Legislation.
