As of 2021, 76% of Inuit in Nunavut over the age of 15 reported their household was food insecure. While the same number for the rest of Canada is less than 16%. According to the 2020 Canadian Community Health Survey, 76% of Nunavut’s children live in food insecure households and 49.5% of households in the territory are food insecure.
